An exciting change!

Last week we started to notice something exciting happening to our mealworms. They are changing!
Some of our mealworms have changed into pupae.

We were busy wondering what they would change into next and how long it would take when....
They changed again!

Our mealworms are growing up and becoming adults!

Can you guess what they have become?

We were going to have a competition to see who could guess when they would change but our sneaky mealworms changed before we even got any entries.

Now we will have to change our competition.

To enter all you need to do is:
1. Follow our blog.
2. Leave a comment to say what you think the mealworms have become and how many adults we will have by next Friday, 2nd March.
3. Wait and see who wins.

The winner will get a certificate.
If no-one guesses the exact number, then whoever is the closest will win.

Good luck!

Hello From 2C

We are the students of 2C in Mrs Batham's class.
We are having lots of fun so far at school.
We have learnt about numbers. We have made a calendar for the month of February.
We have also been learning about the date.
This term we are learning about growing and changing in Science. We are very excited because we are learning about mealworms.
Last week we didn't know much about mealworms but now we know a bit more.
We know that mealworms have six legs.
We think they are an insect. They eat cereals like oats. They shed their skin. This is called moulting.

We can't wait to learn more about mealworms.
What do you like to learn about in Science?
